Period and Historic Properties
Having owned a Grade 1, Sir John Vanbrugh designed house and also built a brand new Grade 1 (four bedroom) dwelling, John Hardy has first hand experience of the difficulties that come with such properties. With over 30 years experience John Hardy can assist in creating long-term schedules for the general maintenance of properties as well as resolving the immediate 'emergency' requirements.
John Hardy and his team are willing to offer advice on the smallest of defects, to creating long term Conservation Management Plans for a single property or estate.
Careful consideration is always given to the conservation of your property to preserve it against further deterioration, whilst finding sustainable solutions for the long-term future. These may include consideration of the best form of insulation, energy generating and water saving technologies. We also consider new potential income streams. We believe that buildings built as breathable buildings, should be retained as such to avoid them being or becoming 'sick' and deteriorating.
